本论文旨在设计一种基于单片机的盲人拐杖,以提供盲人在行走中的导航和安全功能。所采用的单片机型号为STM32F103C8T6。该设计具有以下功能:首先,通过超声波传感器检测前方是否存在障碍物。当检测到障碍物时,系统将触发蜂鸣器发出警报,以引起盲人的注意,防止碰撞。其次,通过GPS模块获取当前位置的经纬度信息。使用一个按键,将经纬度数据通过GSM模块发送到盲人携带的手机端。在手机端,用户可以使用地图软件来确定其具体位置,以便进行导航和定位。此外,系统还配备了LED灯,并通过按键进行开关控制。在夜间行走时,盲人可以打开LED灯,以提供光源,提醒他人注意,并增加行走的安全性。

Abstract
This paper aims to design a microcontroller-based blind cane to provide navigation and safety functionalities for visually impaired individuals. The chosen microcontroller model is STM32F103C8T6. The proposed design incorporates the following features: Firstly, it utilizes an ultrasonic sensor to detect obstacles in the user’s path. When an obstacle is detected, the system triggers a buzzer to alert the user and prevent collisions. Secondly, a GPS module is employed to obtain the current latitude and longitude information. By pressing a button, the cane transmits the coordinates to a mobile phone carried by the user via a GSM module. On the mobile phone, the user can utilize map software to determine their exact location for navigation and positioning purposes. Additionally, the system is equipped with LED lights that can be toggled on and off using a button. These lights serve as a light source during nighttime walks, alerting others to the user’s presence and enhancing safety.
By integrating these functionalities, the designed blind cane offers practical navigation and safety features for visually impaired individuals. Future research directions may involve further optimization of the design, addition of more functionalities, and conducting real-world application testing to validate its feasibility and effectiveness.
