This article presents the design of a metal detector control system based on a single-chip microcontroller, utilizing the STC89C52 microcontroller as the core control unit. The system incorporates the following functionalities: metal detection, audio-visual alarm, button control, and LCD display.The metal detection function is implemented through a metal detection module. When the module detects metal, the system triggers an alarm mechanism, emitting sound and flashing lights to alert the user about the presence of metal.The startup and shutdown of the system are controlled by a relay. Users can control the operation of the metal detector by pressing buttons to initiate or terminate the relay, thereby controlling the working status of the metal detector. The buttons serve functions such as system startup, shutdown, and reset.Real-time status of the metal detector is displayed on an LCD1602 liquid crystal display. When metal is detected, the LCD screen shows relevant prompts, informing the user about the presence of metal.The design employs the STC89C52 microcontroller as the core control unit, offering high performance and reliability. Through rational circuit design and programming implementation, the system is capable of accurately detecting metal, triggering alarms, enabling button control, and providing display functionalities.This metal detector control system design is simple and practical, finding broad applications in the field of metal detection. It holds significant practical value in areas such as security, cultural heritage protection, and construction sites. With further improvements and optimizations, the system can be expanded to include additional functionalities, enhancing performance and convenience to meet the requirements of diverse application scenarios.
