This paper presents a study on an energy-efficient corridor lighting system based on the STM32F103C8T6 microcontroller. The system utilizes a sound detection module, a light-dependent resistor (LDR) module, and a passive infrared (PIR) motion sensor module to achieve intelligent control. The sound detection module is used to detect the presence of sound in the corridor, the LDR module measures the ambient light intensity, and the PIR motion sensor module detects human presence in the corridor. By collecting data from these sensors, the system automatically adjusts the brightness of the corridor lights, thus achieving energy efficiency.Furthermore, the system includes a corridor lighting button that allows manual control of the lights. When the corridor light is relatively dim, it automatically adjusts to a low-intensity state to provide sufficient illumination. However, when motion or sound is detected, the lights switch to their brightest state, providing enhanced illumination. By combining intelligent and manual control, the system meets the lighting requirements under different conditions while achieving energy-saving objectives.
The designed energy-efficient corridor lighting system exhibits simplicity, reliability, and energy efficiency, making it suitable for practical corridor lighting applications. Moreover, the utilization of the STM32F103C8T6 microcontroller provides flexibility for system expansion and functionality upgrades, allowing for further improvements and adaptations to meet various application demands.
